Meet Our Optometrists
Meagan J. Petraitis, O.D.
Meagan J. Petraitis, O.D. joined the Dishler Laser Institute in 2008 after graduating with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Prior to optometry school, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Microbiology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she also minored in Spanish. Dr. Petraitis is an active member of the American and Colorado Optometric Associations, has lectured on refractive surgery, and has participated as a clinical investigator in several FDA trials. She enjoys cycling, music, and cooking and currently resides in Parker, Colorado, with her husband, two kids, and a dog. Out of the office, you can find Meagan either on the baseball field or the pool and tennis courts, staying actively involved in her children’s pursuits!
Jacob Bray, O.D.
Jacob grew up in Bentonville, Arkansas. He attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas, where he graduated with a BS in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. There, he was involved in social fraternities, cell biology research, and honors societies. Jacob then graduated from the Southern College of Optometry with Cum Laude honors. While in optometry school, he served as President of the Arkansas Optometry State Club. He served on the board of their Social Club and student club for the American Academy of Optometry. He was a member of the Contact Lens Society and Ocular Disease Club as well. He did multiple rotations involving ocular disease/glaucoma management and refractive surgery pre-and post-operative care. He was selected as one of ten students to be awarded the Outstanding Clinician Award at The Eye Center of Southern College of Optometry in his final year of school. Upon graduation from optometry school, Jacob practiced in east Texas before finally landing at Dishler Laser Institute.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, who is also an optometrist, and their adopted dog. He also enjoys fitness/sports, as well as being outdoors, such as hiking and snowboarding. He is ecstatic to be in the Denver area and is looking forward to helping you see your best."
